The situation for PV in emerging countries is completely different to the situation in Europe and associated countries.
To overcome existing market barriers, on both the demand side (such as awareness, training, local ownerships) and on the supply side (e.g. business development services, market surveys, databases of renewable energy services availability) with new financing schemes (micro-financing, consumer loans, and revolving funds) will be the major objectives at least in the next decades.
The work will be restricted to the emerging economies in North Africa and the Far-East countries and to the developing countries in selected African countries.
For SMEs and companies who wish to enter the market in such countries it is still connected to a high financial and technical risk. This requires mechanisms allowing companies to build their business to the specific requirements of the local markets.
Interaction with the Japanese and American Associations as well as with the World Bank.
